Matthew 1:1-17 – “[16]Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband
of Mary, by whom JESUS was born, who is called the Messiah. [17]So all the generations from Abraham to
David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon,
fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah,
fourteen generations.” –Matthew 1:16-17
The promised child of Eve, Abram, and David has come! He is the One who will crush the head of the
serpent. Here is the One who will bless
all the people of the earth. Here is the
One who will be the Just and Righteous King forever. JESUS, the Messiah has come!
The world around us may seem dark and wicked but JESUS who has
come is overcoming the world. It may
seem sometimes that GOD’s plan has been thwarted by the force of human history,
but GOD is providentially moving His plan forward to its ultimate
fulfillment. At just the right time the
Hope of the World was born. This baby
born in a manger two thousand years ago is My Hope today! I pray that He is Your Hope as well.
JESUS . . . the Hope of the World!
